Fragrance: Vineyard
Manufacturer: Yankee Candle
Candles I’ve Owned in this Fragrance:
small tumbler jar, small jar, large jar, votive, tart
My first impression of Vineyard was that it smelled like purple Kool-Aid. Or grape juice. Either was fine with me. This was when I cold-sniffed it at a Yankee Candle store in Wareham, Massachusetts. The people I was with were shocked that I bought nothing that day—especially that Vineyard candle I seemed to like so much—but I had too many candles at home to burn through before buying more.
I’m sorry, but my willpower isn’t that
great. Soon after, I bought Vineyard in a small tumbler jar from the
Cheektowaga, New York location. Let me tell you, this is an amazing fragrance
that’s true to its cold sniff. Think of how a wine cellar would smell and
you’ll be getting close to what you’ll get with Vineyard.
It has an excellent throw and is very
strong, possibly because the smell of a wine cellar would be strong. This would
be similar to the subtlety of Mountain Lodge because you’d expect a mountain
lodge smell to just blend in. You don’t have to buy a large jar or even a
bigger jar or tart to get a strong throw out of this. The throw from the votive
is as good as any.
I often use this candle to relax or I burn
it while working at my desk. I also use it when company comes because it has a
broad appeal and I know people should like it. This is part of Yankee Candle’s
Fruit line and is carried year-round. Highly recommended.
